Cannes, July 10, 2008 - Thales Alenia Space will be present at the International Aeropace Exhibition event in Farnborough from July 14 to 20, 2008, both on the Thales and the Finmeccanica booths (located S1 and OE1 OE2 respectively).

This year, Thales Alenia Space will highlight:

• Defense & Security programs, as the European leader in this domain. The company is prime contractor for the French and Italian telecommunications systems Syracuse and Sicral.
• Environment programs as main partner in the ORFEO (Optical and Radar Federated Earth Observation) agreement between Italy and France to exchange data collected by their respective satellite imaging systems. As for Vegetation instrument on Spot 5, Thales Alenia Space is responsible for Pleiades High Resolution (HR) instruments. Thales Alenia Space is prime contractor for the entire COSMO-SkyMed system, whose first satellite has been sent on June 7, 2007 and second on Dec 10, 2007.
• Space Exploration, as prime contractor of the ExoMars program as well as the Herschel & Planck missions.
• Satellite Navigation systems, as the European leader in this domain. Thales Alenia Space is a major player in Galileo and prime contractor of EGNOS, precursor of Galileo.
