How to increase enterprise performance when outsourcing mission critical systems.

Will your Mission Critical systems let you down?

The world is changing, systems are getting more complicated and more difficult to manage. People and businesses increasingly rely on Mission Critical systems. Disaster Recovery is a only a small piece of the puzzle. Do you understand your level of risk and vulnerability? Are you gambling with your business ?

Find the right partner

Historically Multi Sourcing strategies have worked on Infrastructure/Applications or Run/Project splits. This means you can't differentiate between your commodity and Mission Critical systems. Should you really trust your Mission Critical systems to an Outsourcer whose expertise is cost saving for commodity systems?

Mission Critical systems are more than Servers and Networks

Mission Critical systems are complicated. They usually include a combination of IT, regulatory adherence and embedded technology. If you don't understand the whole Mission Critical picture then you're not managing all of the risk.

How will you react in a crisis?

If one thing is certain, it's that key parts of your Mission Critical systems will fail. How will you deal with a crisis situation? Do you have crisis processes? Do you have a different crisis organisation? Can your applications and infrastructure run a degraded mode or do they fail completely? Managed properly, component failure doesn't mean System failure.
