DSA 2006, which celebrated its 10^th anniversary, continued to build on the momentum of the earlier exhibitions, setting several new records, including being the biggest and most comprehensive event of the 10 shows organised to date.

DSA 2008 is set to be an even greater defence and security event for the region with added new features covering Battlefield Medical and Training and Simulation Technologies to complete the Armed Forces and Government Security vital needs. At this year's show there will be 600 exhibitors coming from over 40 countries, with an expected 25,000 visitors.                  

Thales will be demonstrating its capabilities in a variety of domains including Soldier and Vehicle Systems, Rocket and Mortar Systems, Communications & Electronic Warfare, Air Defence and Weapons Systems. On the internal stand, Thales will be presenting a variety of products and solutions including the ST@R Mile handheld enhanced soldier radio, the SOPHIE MF long-range thermal imager, the SOTAS M2, Multimedia intercom system and Shikra, the Mast mounted surveillance radar.  On its external stand, there will also be a display of the Starsteak multi-role missile mounted on a VAMTAC high mobility tactical vehicle.
