Luc Vigneron, Chairman and CEO of Thales, announces his proposed new organisation

Neuilly-sur-Seine, 11 December 2009 - Following the Thales Board of Directors’ meeting on 10 December 2009, Luc Vigneron, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, met with the Thales Works Council (“Comité Central d’Entreprise”), in order to inform it of the evolution of the Group’s organisation.

In order to simplify Thales's operations, foster transverse synergies and commercial reactivity, and to increase performance, the project includes the creation of three large areas and seven divisions.

In order to implement this project, Luc Vigneron has appointed a new Executive Committee, composed of:

  • Alex Dorrian - EVP, Area A* , CEO of Thales UK
  • Blaise Jaeger - SVP, Area B
     
  • Yves Barou - SVP, Human Resources and Communications
  • Patrice Durand - SVP, Finance and Administration
  • Marko Erman - SVP, Research and Technology
  • Patrick Fournié - SVP, Operational Transformation
  • Jean-Loup Picard - SVP, Strategy

and the following members, in charge of the project to create the new divisions:

  • Alex Cresswell - SVP, Land Defence
  • Jean-Pierre Forestier - SVP, Transportation Systems
  • Jean-Loïc Galle - SVP, Air Operations
  • Michel Mathieu - SVP, Avionics           
  • Pierre-Eric Pommellet - SVP, Defence Mission Systems
  • Pascale Sourisse - SVP, Defence & Security C4I Systems

as well as:

  • Reynald Seznec - SVP, Space

The proposed new organisation will be formally communicated to employee representatives.
